I am being taken for my birthday and would like to know recommendations of fine places to eat where there is a good atmosphere, good food and good wine. I am not looking for seriously expensive but around £45 per head. Suggestions please?

  1. You should ask your question on the french Yahoo www.yahoo.fr and ask : Pouvez-vous me donner des noms de bon restaurants à Paris pour un diner en tête-à-tête? à raison de 60 Euros par personne environ. Merci! ... I'm sure you'll get some answers. Bon anniversaire!

  2. Just got back from my birthday treat to paris.  we went to Bouillon Racine, 3 Rue Racine tel 01 44 43 15 60 - in the Latin Quarter.  It was very nice food, very busy so you may need to book, not too expensive & noisy but cosy atmosphere.

Hope you have a lovely trip.

  3. Le Coupe Chou at 9, rue de Lanneau in the 5th arr. is just what you are looking for. You can get a Starter, Main course and Dessert for 32 euros.

In a city where some restaurants are centuries old, this one is a relative newcomer having been opened in 1962. but its located in a restored old house and is utterly charming.

    Here is the menu: http://www.lecoupechou.com/Menu_a97.html...

  4. nice choice

  5. I recomend having diner on a boat that travels through the sein. It's very romantic...you are close to your sweetie and you can also step outside to look at the romantic scenery. Plus, everything wll be lit up, which is very lovely.

Here is some info to check it out: www.lecapitainefracasse.com, # 01.4621.4815. You must make reservations before hand to get a spot (of course).
