  1. This will help if you know american football....

In football you have 5 downs then you have to kick, in league, you have 5 tackles.  The difference being that you have 5 tackles to score, not to make 10 yards.

The tackle count is reset if the other team makes an error or if you kick it and regather it.

The huddles are scrums and are like penalties for minor errors (fumbles etc).  Major penalties like offside etc are a handover of possession and a reset of the tackle count.

League is like rugby with no rucks or mauls.

  2. Probably better to look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_leagu...

  3. ok each possesion gets 6 tackles. if you get tackled on the 6th you have to hand it over. thats why they kick it. the big hudles? umm u could possibly be thinking of a scrum. that happens when one team makes a mistake like dropping the ball or something. then the other team gets possesion. the big huddle is when the forwards (pretty much the 6 biggest players in the team) join together to make a single unit and compete against the other teams forwards. in the old days they used to push against each other but now they dont.

    hope that helps
