  1. I'm sorry, can you say why it has to be in the UAE. is it a different system than the US police radar and/or speed trap?

    add on:

radar :- sends out an electromagnetic wave towards an oncoming car. you know the speed of your electrmag wave, so it waits till it gets a reflected wave from the oncoming wave and times it. as the car keeps coming closer, the time for the wave to get back to the radar gun goes down because the distance is constantly getting shorter (as the car gets closer). it knows the distance of the car (because you know the speed of the wave and know how long it takes to get to the car and get back). eg, speed of wave 10 m/s. time for first wave to return, 2 secs. that means the wave traveled 20m, to and from (10m to the car, 10m back). the next wave comes back in 1 sec. means the wave traveled 10m to and from (5m to the car and 5m back). so you know the speed of the car to be 10m/3secs, or 3m/sec or 180m/min, or 540m/hour. or 0.54 k/hr.

a speed trap is two strips on the road with sensor. when your car goes over the first one it resets a clock. when it goes over the next one say 10m away it stops the clock. for example, the car took 2 seconds to travel 10 m. which is 5m/sec, or 300m/min, or 1800m/hour or 1.8km/hour.
