you have lot of  direct train from nellore to katpadi railway staion which is the nearest  railway station to golden temple in vellore. which is just 18 k.m from katpadi railway station . if you want to come by road then nellore-gudur-tirupati-chittor-vellore-s... is the shortest and the best road route.

if you travel by train it will hardly take 5 hours journey to katpadi . there are lot of train from nellore to katpadi via renigunta tirupati chittor  and also via renigunta arkonam katpadi.

If you are travelling from Nellore , There are two options :

1) Take a  train to chennai central & then to Kadpadi junction ( Vellore town is very close to katpadi junction - All the trains towards Arakonam -Jolarpet - line passes thro' katpadi  ) - from vellore town local transport available to golden temple.

2) Bus to Chennai -Koyambedu B.S and again bus to Vellore

(Plenty of bus services available from Chennai Koyambedu BUS STATION ).
