  1. The normal salt content of the body is .o9% anymore is harmful to the body.  Either in or on.

Salt is salt.  Get you some ice cream salt and it would have the same effect.

I have always believed that a swim in the Gulf of Mexico to be a healing event.  Plenty salty.

  2. the cheapest place to buy the dead sea products is at the dead sea area, there are many factory shops who compete and therefore you can get many bargains, i often buy there and find that its the cheapest, even cheaper then the duty free shop at the airport.

you didnt mention where you live, so i cant suggest stores, but your best option to go online and compare prices.

another option is to buy sea of life or other dead sea products that are cheaper then ahava, at the end of the day they all are the same products packaged and marketed by different companies, if you think about it, salt is salt.

    edit

with regards to jd comments about the dead sea salt being harmful, that is the most incorrect answer i have read today, the salt is very good for you(you dont eat it) it has many benefits, Salts extracted from the Dead Sea are known the world over for their therapeutic and beautifying use. Do not mistake Dead Sea salt for any other regular salt. Dead Sea Salt has a whole variety of minerals, which are in concentration. Think about this: Regular salt has 90% sodium, whereas Dead Sea Salt has only 10% sodium and 90% minerals. Some of the minerals in Dead Sea Salt are Magnesium, Potassium, Bromine and calcium.

But just because Dead Sea Salt is so good for health don’t think you can eat it, quite the opposite. Dead Sea Salt is not at all edible, in fact it tastes very bitter and this is because of the low sodium content and high mineral content. The minerals present in Dead Sea Salt are the very same minerals that are there in the skin. After a particular age the minerals in the skin start getting depleted, this is when skin gets dry, wrinkled and dull. This is where Dead Sea Salt comes into the picture. Dead Sea salt products nourish the skin and provide it with the necessary minerals that have been taken away from the skin. These products give back to the skin its health and vitality. So if you don’t mind making a trip to the Dead Sea area, all you have to do is jump right in. it doesn’t matter if you cant swim because the salt content is so high it is impossible to sink.

  3. If you are located in the US, there are a few places where you can buy Ahava products, although I am not sure if those particular green bag can be found there. Often times, Ahava products sold in Israel are packaged and priced differently than those sold elsewhere. Also, in Israel, Ahava runs different promotions, so the pricing can really vary.

But here are some places that carry a variety of Ahava products:

    Nordstrom

    Bath and Body Works

    ULTA Cosmetics

Also, Marshall's and TJ Maxx carry Ahava products from time to time, and you can find great deals since those stores heavily discount the products. But availability is hit or miss....

Alternatively, if you have any friends travelling there soon, ask them to buy you the salts, duty free, in the Tel-Aviv airport - they run promotions like buy 3, get 1 free quite often.
