  1. You probably need a contractor to build a shelter( barn) and fencing you can get any where.

  2. I think it's great that you are starting a rescue; I'm concerned that you are already hurting for money.  Rescuing horses is not cheap, it costs a lot of money, and saving on fencing isn't going to help you after the horses show up and start in on it.   In my experience, a good, well built fence is not only hard to find cheap, but it will save you a lot of money in the long run, as far as not having to spend money on fencing repairs rather than food and vet bills.

Good luck! I know I'm preaching, hopefully to the choir, but it's important that you have the resources *before* you start your rescue!

  3. california

  4. Try this site for the fencing:

    http://horseguardfence.com/

    Try this for shelter:http://www.noblepanels.com/horse-shelter...

    and this

    http://www.4seasonsshelters.com/shelters...

  5. pole barns work wonders for shelters, plus if you have a post hole digger and any bit of skill you can build it yourself!!!!!!  don't need a contractor

check into ram fencing, it's relatively inexpensive. but wonderful fencing, i love it

  6. Horse fencing could be as simple and as cheap as 3 strand electric.

You might want to ask the rescue for ideas as they might have specifics they require for foster homes.

If you build anything - check to see if you need a permit in your area!

Good luck and thanks for helping the horses!

  7. www.systemhorse.com

    www.rammfencing.com

    www.highlandfence.ca

im not really sure why i have these all handy but i do haha

but good luck and sounds like your doing a great thing

  8. I'm not sure if you're looking for other horse shelters or places where you can adopt horses.  The best site for adopting horses is www.petfinder.com

  9. I have a rescue and i have spent a fortune on the stuff.  Once i got lucky and checked craigslist and i bought 4000 dollars worth of pipe corrals that would have cost me 2 twice that if i bought it new and she delivered them to me, took several loads and days but its better than the pipe you can buy now...extremely heavy 5 rail.  So check craigslist in your area..  You could also place an ad saying your looking and your a rescue you may get lucky.  I just had 7 8x24 shelters delivered, just the frames and legs they metal for the top was donated thankfully.  I paid a little over 2 grand, im in Southern California so it may be different where your at.
