It's a very long hadith about the coming of the Dajjal and the coming of Jesus (PBUH)

Now, does this hadith not go clearly against the noble Quran, which states:

"Say: For myself I have no power to benefit, nor power to hurt, save that which Allah willeth. Had I knowledge of the Unseen, I should have abundance of wealth, and adversity would not touch me. I am but a warner, and a bearer of good tidings unto folk who believe." (7:188)

The whole hadith talks about the 'unseen' the future and what will happen!

Also, it would go directly against the following hadith:

  1. Look sis I'll try to explain it in points:

1.Allah has the knowledge of all past, present and future.

2.Allah gave us the Quran and Islam via MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H).

3.Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was a human and messenger of ALLAH.

4.HE (P.B.U.H) himself did not have any knowledge of the unseen.

5.Whatever Allah decided was important for the prophet to know, HE told it to his Prophet(P.B.U.H) .

6.Then HE allowed His Prophet (P.B.U.H) to tell us those things at certain times.

Now this does not mean that he told everything to His prophet, NO

He just told him what was important for him to know

The prophet (P.B.U.H) did not tell us the exact details of the dajjal as He (P.B.U.H) did not tell us the exact details of the last day. He (P.B.U.H) just let us know what Allah told Him, no more, no less.

    Now to my dear 1qfac....

Why don't u carry on to say that the day of judgement according to the Quran and hadith is also a metaphorical representation of the actual situation that people will be in.  After a long period troubles, the Qadyanis will be successful and all of the rest will stay in troubles for the rest of their lives.(explanation of heaven and h**l).

Do u talk to ur friends in the language of metaphors? If Muhammad (P.B.U.H) delivered such metaphorical speeches, how did the unlettered people of Madina and the desert understand Him?Wonderful, isn't it, how every prediction of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) can be interpreted just spiritually or metaphorically! No need to consider his simple, straightforward words, right? Must a Prophet speak in complicated metaphors that only Qadyanis can understand (and the companions of Prophet (P.U.B.H.) and the scholarly Tab'een and the Arab Ulema can't nderstand) to prove His Prophethood?

  2. U mean this hadith talks of the unseen, and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) doesn't know the unseen. That's right. He was a human like any of us, except that He (P.B.U.H) received revelations from the Almighty Allah.

Muhammad (P.B.U.H) had absolutely no knowledge of the unseen, except which Allah gave Him, and He (P.B.U.H) passed it on to us. No more. Just like Jesus (A.S), who could bring the dead to life and inform the people what they had stored in their houses. This is the knowledge which a Prophet may receive from Allah, the knower of the unseen.

He (P.B.U.H) didn't claim to have any other knowledge than that. I mean, He (P.B.U.H) couldn't tell His followers whatever they asked, or wanted to know from the unseen. He (P.B.U.H) couldn't find out whatever liked about the unseen, and if He (P.B.U.H) had known it, He (P.B.U.H) would have been able to prevent many of the future personal tragedies and troubles in His life and the lives of His companions.

About the Dajjal now. He has been mentioned even in the holy scriptures of the Jews and Christians since this knowledge (about the Dajjal) was given to other Prophets too. He is gonna do many things which could shake the firm faith of staunch believers. So Allah considered it necessary to let us know something about the future troubles and fitnas of Dajjal and Gog & Magog as well as the 30 liars and smaller Dajjals from his ummah who will commit kufr by claiming prophethood . Just to make us beware so that we might not slip in some slippery places...

EDIT:  @Safy_4_u--- I agree. These Qadyani spiritual metaphors make me fuzzy headed too!

  3. You know that is one of the reasons why I am conflicted regarding the Ahadeeth. All my life I have heard stuff like, oh if you say the Shahadah one hundred times, your face will be shinning with "noor" at the day of judgment. I always wondered how any one could have known that. I mean if Allah did tell Muhammad what is going to happen in the future and all that, why isn't it in the Quran? He couldn't possibly have known all this with out a divine guidance. But since its not in the Quran, it means it wasn't a divine guidance. Rather just a false "haddeth" associated with the Prophet. Thus not part of the religion.

  4. While the End of Time and Jesus Returns story makes up a lot of Muslim folk tradition, Maududi threw out all these hadiths as "unsound." On the other hand, other scholars embrace them.

  5. plz read carefully the following Verses of Noble Quran

[5:109] The day will come when GOD will summon the messengers and ask them, "How was the response to you?" They will say, "We have no knowledge. You are the Knower of all secrets."

Quran is the only "Hadith" to be followed; all other Hadiths are blasphemous and misleading fabrications:

"God has revealed the best 'Hadith'; a book that is consistent, and describes both ways (to heaven and h**l). The skins of those who reverence their Lord shudder therefrom, then their skins and hearts soften up and receive God's message. Such is God's guidance; He guides whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by Him, no one can guide them." (39:23)

"There are those who advocate vain 'Hadith' causing diversion from the path of God, without knowledge, and fail to take such actions seriously; these have deserved humiliating retribution. And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly, as if he never heard them; as if his ears are deaf; promise him painful retribution." (31:67)

"(On the day of judgment) the disbelievers will be told, 'God's abhorrence towards you is far worse than your own abhorrence towards yourselves, for you were invited to the faith but refused.' They will say, 'Our Lord, You gave us two deaths and two lives, and now we confess our sins; IS THERE ANYWAY OUT?' That is because when GOD ALONE was advocated, you refused to believe. But when idols were advocated along with Him, you believed. Therefore, judgment now belongs with God, the most high, the great." (40:10-12)

When GOD ALONE is advocated, do you believe? OR Do you have to have others advocated along with Him?

    THE GREAT DISASTER

"When their messengers went to them with clear evidence, they were satisfied with the knowledge they already had, and the very thing they ridiculed caused their doom. Then, when they say our retribution, they said, 'NOW WE BELIEVE IN GOD ALONE AND WE REJECT OUR PREVIOUS IDOLATRY.' But alas, their belief is useless to them after they see the retribution. Such is God's law which is never changeable; such disbelievers are doomed." (40:83-85)

Are you happy and satisfied with the knowledge you inherited from your parents, elders or scholars? (Hadith & Sunna)

Are you willing to give up such knowledge, in favor of God's teachings? OR, will it be too late for you?

God is the one who created you; God is the one who provides for you; God is the one who terminates your life; God is the one who resurrects you; God is the one who calls you to account. Muhammad does none of these things (see 30:40).

MUHAMMAD DOES NOT KNOW THE FUTURE

"Say (O Muhammad), 'I do not bring anything new that is different from any other messenger. I have no idea what may happen to me, or to you. I simply follow what is revealed to me. I am no more than a manifest warner.'" (46:9)

"Say (O Muhammad), 'I possess no power to benefit or harm even myself, except in accordance with God's will. (Nor do I know the future); had I known the future, I would have increased my wealth, and no harm would have afflicted me. I am no more than a warner, as well as bearer of good news for those who believe.'" (7:188)

MUHAMMAD DOES NOT KNOW THE FUTURE

Yet, hundreds of "Hadiths" narrate future events that have nothing to do with Quran, and represent personal predictions.

One of the most prominent "Hadiths" is shown below:

"You shall uphold my Sunna (traditions), and the Sunna of the 'guided Khalifas' (AlKhulafaa' AlRashideen) who will come after me."

It should be noted that the expression "AlKhulafaa' AlRashideen" did not appear in Arabic literature until 200 years after the prophet; it is a modern expression.

How did the prophet know that there will be "Khulafaa'" who will succeed him, and how did he know that they will be called "AlKhulafaa' AlRashideen"?

The Expression "AlKhulafaa' AlRashideen" refers specifically to the four Khalifas: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali. It was not known for two centuries after the prophet.

  6. Well I won't go into detail but as you may know, I believe the dajjal to be a metaphorical representation of the forces driving us away from Allah and towards materialism.  In this day and age, those forces are more powerful than they ever have been before.  It's up to us to recognize and reject them.

love for all, hatred for none

  7. We said: Allah's Messenger, you made a mention of the Dajjal in the morning (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the datpalm trees.

  8. just because you're a member of OIC , i answer you :P

can you post the hadith in Arabic please to get clearer view?

  9. all the revelations made to the Prophet are unseen, example paradise, h**l...

the verse states clearly : "...save that which Allah willeth. " meaning if God wanted to show his messenger something then it is done.
