Can any one recommend a Haunted place to stay overnight??

Question

For my birthday i am looking to find a hotel or B&B or Castle that is haunted. I'm not looking for a murder mystery night or any thing like that but some where people can recommend and 'experience' :O)

Lumley Castle Hotel - Chester le Street, Durham.

Apparently when the West Indian Cricket team stayed there they moved out aftre the first night because they were **** scared.

The Langham Hotel near Regent Street is supposedly haunted. Even without "ghosts" it's a very nice, very fancy hotel and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has placed several scenes there.

I hate to break it to you but there's no such thing as ghosts, only your imagination.  Just book somewhere you like the look of and stay there rather than wasting your time on being disappointed when some ancient lady in a green robe doesn't wander into your room going oooooh.

I've never understood why ghosts are always perfectly dressed and not in their old tatty brown cardigan and pyjamas like most people probably die....

Jamaica Inn, on Bomin Moor, Cornwall. Fantastic location, and definitely spooky. I stayed there last Christmas, as I don't live far away, and wanted Christmas somewhere different.

I was woken twice in the night by strange noises in my room, and hubby had his feet pulled by something.Even he was scared, and he's a non believer.

Any hotel that has to advertise itself as 'haunted' must be a bit of a dive. It's not a criteria you'd normally put on a hotel listing, is it? "Comfortable, spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities. Two poltergeists (not Mondays)."

In my opinion the whole haunting thing is a con.
