For £300 - £400. I want a nice solid light hard tail bike good for jumps and dirt tracks. Any suggestions?

  1. you might also consider buying a second hand bike, 400 quid gets you an new entry level bike, or a really good second hand one: for instance a Cannondale CAAD-series or a top notch Kona.

  2. Yes - there are loads of people who can recommend a bike to you.  Most of them work in bike shops.

  3. Saricans(not sure of the spelling) are really good for dirt jumps.!

  4. Well your not going to find many good hard tails for that cheap. Your going to have to empty your pocket a little more (maybe to around $500) I am buying a new hard tail bike this weekend and i am paying $560 for mine. You can maybe get a decent used bike from $300-400, but not a new one. Sorry, but bikes aren't that cheap!!! If you have any more questions email me at duncanbaseball@yahoo.com

  5. Pacific bikes are made just for that! I have had one for about 7 years now and they are very sturdy, besides the usual wear and tear, and back then this bike ran about 6- 7 hundred dollars, now they are in your range so check it out.

  6. Diamondback Response £420, order from www.raleigh.co.uk and have it shipped to your local Raleigh dealer who will assemble it for you and give retailer back up.

  7. Pretty much all of them are good.  Schwinn, GT, Specialized, Giant, Trek, Kona.  Get one at a bike shop so you can be properly fitted to the bike.  Nothing is worse than riding a bike that's too small or too much.
