  1. you already have some good ideas, i think better to get here, rent a place, then have a good look for yourself. there are so many options in the places your looking at, or take a motor home from brisbane to cairns to see how much there really is to look at and understand where to may like to settle

  2. sunshine coast is good place as it has heaps rural farms in the hinterland that are 30min drive to the coast and all the schools are smaller good for sending your kids too.

a other place would be Rockhampton,  Gympie, Gin gin, Mackay, Proserpine, Ayr, Ingham, kuranda and Gordonvale all with in 30min of the coastline.

now i would not live too far north as it gets wet around November to march and a lot floods when it rains real hard.

you need to have a good look on realestate.com.au as its good place to find some were to live.

  3. :)

The place you're looking for seems like a dream.. Look outside the urban areas..

Sorry I cant help, I live in Sydney, and never been to QLD

  4. That sounds just like where I live :)

But our beaches are not that big.  OK for toddlers, actually perfect for toddlers, but no surf or very long sandy areas.  But we can get that just 45 minutes drive south at the Gold Coast.

    Brisbane Bayside

  5. Sounds like the inland towns on the Sunshine Coast is the place to be, with only a 15 to 30 minute drive to the beautiful beaches here.
