  2. Ha ha!! Last time we were in the U.K., our family took us along to the Italian restaurant by Solihull ice rink....they were raving about how good it was

    Well, yes, the food was excellent, but when I asked one of the waiters something about the food, he couldn't answer me....it turned out that there wasn't a single Italian amongst them!!! they were all Polish!! Including the chef!!!

    Also, it was extremely expensive!! They charged £3.80 for a bottle of lager that can be bought for 65p!!! It does seem that most Italian restaurants are a bit over-rated!! Good luck, I hope you find one!!

  5. I would recommend Cielo  in Brindley Place- serves Italian/Med cuisine.  Great food and atmosphere, but does get busy at weekends, best to book.  Have put contact details below.
