Can any one tell me about bali?

what sort of things you can do in bali ,beside of enjoying the beach ?

There are amazing temples and great buying experiences through out Bali.  Ubud is my favorite place in the area.  It's a small village in a slightly mountainous area with a river running through and many artistic ventures selling anything from clothing to art and wood crafts.  Its very picturesque.

The two main towns of Bali are Legian and Kuta.  They have effectively been overrun with tourists and most of the shop keepers are not even Balinese any more.  Most are from Java and they just are not as courteous as the Balinese.  

The areas away from the tourist norm are still delightful and there are many places to go and see.  Do some research on line. May I suggest the Travel advisor or Travel fish.  and there is always Lonely Planet for a fall back.  Bali is great.  But try to stay away from the normal tourist areas for the most rewarding experience.

I live in Indonesia so I know many things about Bali. you can climb some mountains, such as Mt Agung. You can also hang out to Jimbaran/Kuta/Tanah Lot to see very beautiful sunset. You may enjoy waterbom there as it's so much fun! you can also go shopping in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak and so. There are many delicious restaurants too! Both traditional and international. One thing for sure, you can enjoy many things in Bali. incl take a ferry to another beautiful island, Lombok.

Surfing, climbing volcanoes, monkey forest in Ubud, scuba diving incl. shipwrecks, sightseeing esp. all the temples, and you could also visit neighboring islands like Java or Lombok.  On Lombok climbing the Rinjani volcano is amazing and the Gili Islands are really beautiful with clear water.  You could also take a boat trip to Komodo Island further east to see the dragons...
