Can any one tell me good story b ooks to read age 13?

If you haven't read the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, I would recommend that. Also, the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini, with the first book in the series being Eragon, the second being Eldest, and the one coming out in September being Brisingr. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is also good if you haven't read that one yet. The Alfred Kropp books are also good, with The Extraordinary Adventures of Alfred Kropp, The Seal of Solomon, and The Thirteenth Skull by Rick Yancy. The Artimis Fowl Series by Eoin Colfer (there's six books in all so far), The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series (I really recommend this one) with The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's Curse, and The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. Also, Down the Rabbit Hole and Behind the Curtain by Peter Abrahams.

Well, these aren't really mystery or horror, but they are very interesting and have lots of fighting in them. Check out the Wheel Of Time books by Robert Jordan. They are about 1k pages each and theres 12 of them, best books I've ever read.
