I dont think you can do it without being there!!!                      that is dumb!!!

If you know what brand of phone it is you could check its memory features. It must have a limited number of numbers it can keep in the memory after which it purges the older numbers! You could call that many times to erase the number you do not want to be displayed from some other safe number.
