can any one tell me in detail the procedure to apply for passport in bangalore. don't direct me to RPO(regional passport office) website.

1) you have to collect a application form from RPO.

2) Fill it up carefully

3) You need to give 7 copies of PP size photo in colour.

4) You need to provide your DOB proof.

5) you need to provide your address proof by providing xerox copy of your Voter Identity card given by the Election commission of India, or you may provide a xerox copy of your ration card.

6) You have to provide a certificate as proof of your educational qualification.

7) You need to sign on all the specified box/place for signature.

8) You need to sign on a strap given inside the application form.

9) you need to provide names of 2 famous/generally familiar (in your area) persons who knows you well.

10) It will be good if you can provide any certificate from any Gusseted officer/Local MLA or Local MP stating that they know you and your character is good.

11) You have to submit the form after filling all the necessary informations with the above mentioned supporting documents with Rs 1000/- in the RPO.

12) After submitting the form to RPO, you will be called by the local police station to inquire if there is any criminal case on you in the local P.S.

13) To get the Passport in your hand it will take 45-60 days after the submission of the form.
