  1. The United Kingdom is Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England. As far as anyone is concerned there is no difference in the collection of countires that make up the UK and make up Britain. But due to lots of indepedence arguments and the troubles in northern ireland, it is far safer to call it the U.K. Britain is an old term that alot of Scottish, Welsh and Irish people will not use. But English people call themselves and people from the other countires that make up the UK British. Not many other people refer to themselves as British unless they are English anymore.

    Its all very complicated!

  2. There is no difference, they all refer to the same country.

  3. what does this have to do with Special Education???

  4. England is one of 3 countries on the island of Great Britain. (The others are Wales and Scotland.)

United Kingdon is formally known as "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". It is made up of the island of Great Britain, plus the north-east part of the island of Ireland and many small islands.

They are not exactly the same thing. England is part of the UK, and is situated on Great Britain.

  5. they do refer to the same country but unlike just "england" .."united kingdom" refers to also scotland, wales, and n. ireland...so does "great britain"
