Can any one tell me when the Guinness Premiership fixtures for season 2008/09 will be announced?

Northampton Saints are still waiting on when the fixtures for their re-entry into the Guinness Premiership will be released.

Next year's Lions tour to South Africa clashed with the original date for the Guinness Premiership final and negotiations on who is moving what are still going on.

It means Saints are having to keep on hold their pre-season plans until the wrangle is sorted out.

A Premier Rugby League spokesman said: "I don't know when we are releasing the fixtures, hopefully it will be next week."

The Guinness Premiership final is usually at the end of May, but the Lions' first match is also scheduled for that weekend. The 10-match tour was announced by the South African Union in May. The Tests will be held in Durban on June 20, followed by games in Pretoria on June 27 and Johannesburg on July 4.
