Can any one tell me which one is the best Sony Bravia 40" (KDL40W4100) or Panasonic TH42PZ85?

need to buy 40" plazma tv, so get confused between sony and panasonic.

First of all, the Sony is NOT a "plazma." Sony does not make a consumer grade plasma TV. Secondly, it somewhat depends on your primary use of the set. Go look at both, using the same input so you can evaluate the pic. Both are outstanding. My personal choiceis the Panasonic plasma over the Sony LCD. I have a 50" Panasonic. But you can't go wrong with either one.

I have a Sony Bravia 47" lcd hdtv and I love it.  I don't know how it compares to the Panasonic, but I am really impressed with the picture quality on the Sony.
