With Alou out for the year, Tatis has emerged as an all-star calibar player and Chavez is still playing like a starter, although he isn't.  

Can anybody beat the Mets in the playoffs?  No.

I'd have to say that everytime they send Johan out in the postseason, its a guaranteed win.  Even if it isn't im sure somebody like Maine or Perez can be dominant.  Who else in the NL has that kind of pitching depth?  Best argument is the Cubs, but after Zambrano, Harden, and Dempster, the next 2 starting pitchers are unknown.  However with the Mets, the #5 pitcher is supposdly Pelfrey who has an ERA under 4!!!!  This is an amazing team on paper, and is now beginning to show it on the field.

My guess is Mets vs. Angles in the World Series, Mets win in 7 :)

Yes because they don't have the pitching rotation necessary to beat the other teams who are probably playoff bound.  Outside of Santana, and recently Pelfrey, the Mets' rotation has been inconsistent.  

Santana can match up with anybody, but if Pelfrey is your #2 going against Rich Harden, CC Sabathia, or Dan Haren? I don't think he beats anyone.

The Cubs and Brewers rotations go 3 strong starters deep and Arizona's isn't shabby.

Yes the cubs and brewers the mets pen wont hold up and the starters of the cubs and brewers are vastly better then the mets. Santana can only pitch 3 times a series and get 3 wins and they need 4.

Brewers and the Cubs. When the Mets are on a bad losing streak, it takes awhile for them to recover and get back on track. They have had some significant meltdowns.
