Can any1 give me some examples on how religion and social life interact/?

i desperately need some examples for my essay on the relationship between religion and social life(in a sociological perspective). sources from internet are scarce probably because this is a rare topic. i have no clue what to write about and the outline is due tomorrow. and today is Victoria Day so all the libraries are closed!! i'm really stuck now...

plus i have to think of 3 subtopics, but for this topic it's either "religion affects social life" or "social life affects religion", any other subtopics that i can think of all seem unrelated(e.g. i thought of "religion is socially learned" but there's nothing to do with the interdependence between religion and social life). i really need experts to tell me what to do!

can anyone help me? SOS..T__T

Its very difficult to compare two diabolical  opposite concepts.. The reason you can't  find much to compare,,is that religion is no more than organized hypocrisy based on stories handed down by illiterate peasants,,which were enhanced by those who would advance their stations in life by customizing  these stories to modern day times for power and profit...If the prophet Jesus were to return to earth today,, with  all of the charlatans and false prophets with their colossal  Church's and their  $2000.00 suits,,or garments of gold and church's to match,,He would do what he did over 2000yrs ago and throw out the money changers,,and Pharisees,, which he despised ,,as FALSE PROPHETS,,stating YOU  HAVE MADE MY FATHERS HOUSE A DEN OF THIEVES!! As far as social life,,that is real,,and to compare the two or to address the two subjects,, would be to state ,,Religion is  fantasy, for power and profit,,Social Life is Reality.. The two do not equate !!SOLOMON

Pick three religions. Buddhist, Catholics, Mormons. ( just suggestions ) Look each up individually and list the characteristics that the belief affects every day life. ( Those three tend to have more obvious attributes ) Then see if you can find common interactions. This can give you a conclusion.
