  1. twilight - stephenie meyer - Now this is going to sound bad but it's actually amazing and they're making it into a movie.  It's about a girl who moves from Arizona to the small rainy town of Forks, WA.  She meets this beautiful but bizarre boy who turns out to be a vampire.  The whole time he's telling her he's too dangerous but they fall in love (now I know it sounds lame, I wouldn't read it at first) but it's an amazing romance and it's addicting.  Give it a try, it's fantasy for those who don't like fantsasy and those who do.

Uglies - Scott Westerfeld - Tally lives in a place where at 16 you get comsmetic surgery and move to the "pretties" town.  Some of her friends realize the shallowness of the practice and try to find a new way of life.

  2.    "The Road",,by Cormac McCarthy.

  3. My suggestions really depend on what type of books you enjoy reading.

Nancy Werlin, Alex Flinn, and Laurie Halse Anderson are good realistic authors.

Nancy Farmer and Maria V. Snyder aren't bad in fantasy

Vivian Vande Velde, Neal Shusterman, and Scott Westerfeld are pretty good with dark fantasy.

Alane Ferguson, Gail Giles, and Pete Hautman all write mysteries.

  4. chill factor by sandra brown...good book

  5. Catcher in the Rye

    Red Badge of Courage

    Prince of Tides

    Conroy

    Murder in Coweta County

To Kill a Mockingbird (one of my very favs)
