Question:

Can any1 suggest a linux server edition that can work with Windows and Mac PCs and has a good GUI & desktop?

I'm relatively new to the Linux world so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help. :)

  1. All the major distributions have all of the above, a desktop, servers you can install and run, and can work with Windows and Macs on the network. For example, using samba to see Windows shares.

    So, pick Ubuntu or Fedora or some other major distro and give it a shot. Either has a user community willing to help when you need it.
