  1. Le Petite St Benoir on Rue St Benoir,  order the Rabbit stew best ever.  Relais De Entrecote same street very good steak.

  2. I'm assuming that by "really nice" you don't mean expensive, budget busting, world reknowned places like La Tour D'Argent (which is in the 5th) but good value for the money places.

La Methode at 2 rue Descartes is a favorite of mine. Good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. They do a great fish soup ( I'm a big fan of fish soup) and the pain perdu (which is what you'd probably call "French toast" ) is an awesome dessert (yes...it's dessert and not breakfast food in France).

If you're there on a thursday night check out the Maison de la Lozère at 1bis, rue Hautefeuille (just off the Place St. Michel although its actually in the 6th arr.). They do a special menu that includes aligot, a dish made with potatoes and cheese that is just wonderful. http://www.lozere-a-paris.com/

The Auberge Le Pot de Terre at 22, rue du Pot de Fer is a classic little place and cheap even. A three course meal

(Starter + Dish + Dessert) is just 12 € from monday evening to saturday midday included. http://www.lepotdeterre.com/index2.htm

  3. Here's a good web site describing same! Bon appetit!
