  1. I would forget the whole "husband-to-be" on the back burner until you have actually met a few times.

Yak-Rider is correct, you need to do nothing, in fact you cannot do anything. He needs to apply for a B-2 (visitors visa) in his own country. Visit the website for the American in his country, this will give you all the information you need. The total cost of the visa will be $100.

  2. You apply with supporting documents then he is invited to the embassy to collect his visa in that country before the trip.

  3. sure

  4. He will need to apply. you have nothing in it.

  5. If he's coming for a visit then you have nothing to do with it.  It will be up to him to go to a US embassy or consulate and apply on his own.  He will pay a $100 application fee.  He will be interviewed by an American consular officer and that officer will be the one to determine whether or not he gets the visa.

  6. i believe he has to from his country if hes visiting you, but best thing to do is call the gov. and immigration

  7. He should apply for a visa where he is now.  The U.S. embassy or consular office in his city can provide him with the pertinent information re cost, processing time, etc.

  8. You apply in your country and he applies in his country.  The cost of the whole thing if I remember is somewhere $150.00 range.  That is each of you, not the total for both.  Blessings for this Holiday Season.

  9. he should apply at the US embassy in his country and you may help him by sending him an invitation through the immigration office....however, this doesn't  ensure the visa issuance especially if he was from a country where the joblessness rate is very high.....applying for a visitor visa is applying for a non immigrant visa, and every non immigrant visa applicant is considered as an intended immigrant unless he provides otherwise... you have to know that, and in order for him to be qualified for this visa, he will have to convince the immigration officer at the US embassy that he will be a genuine temporary entrant.... and you gotta be sure that if the officer knows about  the marriage story or he fails to provide strong ties in his coutry .. he will not get the US visa...

so If you really interested in this guy ...you gonna need to go to his coutry and marry him there wich will allow him to apply for an immigrant visa. Good luck

  10. Honestly, you are probably making a huge mistake - especially if you are footing the bill for HIS Visa.  I'm assuming you met this guy online and now he wants to move here and marry you, right?  I'm the last to be prejudice, but I bet he's middle eastern too.  There are guys like this online everyday preying on lonely, overweight women, so I really hope you know what you are doing.

Now if you want an answer about the Visa, call a government agency.
