Im going to be studying in the Saint Germain district of Paris for a yr starting in September and I need to find an apartment. I aready have a room for September so I need somewhere to stay from October to June next yearr. I wont be able to use an agency because they need a guarantor and I have no one in France to do that for me. So if anyone knows f anyone who may have an apartment to rent please let me know. Or if anyone studying in paris now is leaving theirs and wants someone to take their place please let me know also. Thanx peeps. one love.xx

  1. To get around the guarantor problem, check out this site (if you can read French). I used them when I first came to France to live and it works very well.

    http://www.locapass.fr/

Once you have applied and been accepted then you can go to the agencies.

You may not find something that fits all your criteria in central Paris (nice / cheap are usually mutually exclusive, especially for short term contracts), look in the Western suburbs as well -Chaville, Viroflay, Sevres, etc.

  2. Paris rental studios,apartments

  3. sorry but nothing is cheap in Paris!!! nice apartment? my brother rents a BEDROOM for 650€/month!!! (850$)

And even without an agency, owners ask tons of papers and guarantees! the guarantor must earn 3 times what you pay for the rent...

    Good luck!

  4. I recommend trying FUSAC (France-USA Contacts), which is a weekly magazine and website in France for Americans.  There are a lot of short-term rentals and sublets listed, many from other Americans who live in Paris and want to rent out their apartment for a few months, a year, or more.  For many of these rentals, you do not need a guarantor, as they are targeting the expat community and so realize that guarantors are not possible.  You can find the magazine for free in many spots around Paris--generally American bars or restaurants, and you can also see all of the ads on the website:  www.fusac.com.

    Bon sejour.
