Can any1 type up the last couple of pages from the book Sanctuary, cause library copy is missing last 2 pages?

  2. Actually, in such a case, a Librarian is permitted by law ( that is, UK law and some international law) to photocopy the lost piece from a copy in another library in order to replace it.

    This can be done only once.

    However, if the book is out of print and the author has been dead for 70 years or more, copyright is dead anyway.  So, provided you don't copy an actual modern publisher's layout and re-publish it in that form, you can help yourself to Dickens and Dostoievsky, Shakespeare and Lope de Vega, Marx and Lenin, and thousands more.

  3. I realize that you are only trying to get the rest of the story, but what you're asking for is actually illegal. Copying or scanning any part of a story for free distribution (in ways that aren't exempted by Fair Use) is a violation of copyright.

    I suggest you let your library know that the copy is defective and see if they can order a new one for you via interlibrary loan.
