  2. You need to look at what products you use on your face and your hair.  A lot of people are sensitive to ingredients in their beauty products and it causes acne, sometimes severe.  Anything with mineral oil in it should definitely NOT be used on your face!  Try buying products that are all natural or mostly natural (like Burt's Bees for instance) even for your shampoo.  They do sometimes cost a bit more but they're well worth it.  As far as make-up goes I would use only the mineral powder kind as the creams and liquids can add to your problem.

  3. I've never used it before, but i've heard alot about this product called Proactive. You could try that.

Or head to a pharmacy and look for a product that contains benzoyl peroxide. It may work well for you. The pharmacists there would help you.

    All the best :)

  4. I use the proactive product and it works great

I've never had a serious acne problem but it keeps any minor things away to.

What i would do if you can't get the medicated treatments (ask your dermatologist which you should use) is just wash your face in the morning and at night with either neutrogena or even just plain dial soap in the shower.

The proactive works very fast and effectively so I'd choose that

    Good luck

  5. Honestly, if this runs in your family you may not be able to get rid of the acne by the time school starts. However, Toothpasted masks, yogurt masks, these types of home remedy masks dry the acne out. Witch hazel also works. Alcohol before sleeping and a good moisturizer works. LOTS and LOTS of water will also help. Water alone will do a great deal. Try not to drink pop and juices and candy or anything with lots of sugar.. Drink water, keep your skin moisturized, and dry the acne out.

  6. You should try clean and clear. It is good.

  7. Used to have the same problem.I swear by Clinique's 3 step system it works like magic

  8. clean and clear  works the best

took out a pimple in one day well made it really smaller

    proactive is bad

  9. Don't trust proactive. I've heard from MANY people that it dries out your face fast and takes a while to show improvement if any. I've heard a lot of bad things.. including that you have to keep using it because once you stop all the pimples come back.. and for something that expensive it shouldn't have so much negative feedback.

First.. usually pimples by the hairline are from either you're hair being greasy too often, or from sweat. I suggest you try to keep your face clean as often as you can. I probably wash my face 10 times a day.. but I'm a little obsessed with being clean so I wouldn't recommend THAT much. Haha.

Also.. stay away from greasy foods. It's a fact that junk like chips and other greasy foods/meals will make you break out. Avoid touching your face at all times because whatever dirt on your hands will most likely get in your skin and cause a reaction.

Don't use lotions that are scented or oily. Don't use anything oily for that matter on your face. Lol.. if you think it may clog pores then avoid it. That means avoiding concealer makeup and the like.. Give your skin some time to breathe and be clean. :]

Drink LOTS of water.. it does wonders. It'll make you feel healthier and look healthier.. and I heard it helps keep your skin clear.

Pimples take about a week to form. Which is a nice fact to know and remember.. anything you did wrong a week ago is probably the cause of a zit today. So if you're wanting your skin to be clear a week from now, avoid anything that would clog your pores.

For some products.. I haven't had much luck with the popular brands..

but for some reason I got Clearasil daily facewash and it worked like magic. My skin has literately never been this pimple free. Now keep in mind that most products differ from person to person.. so your best bet is to buy a couple different kinds and see which works best for you.

Just remember to wash your face daily and avoid touching it or using/eating anything that will clog your pores!

    I hope this helps. :]

  10. Proactive is by far the best.

  11. if you feel like wasting 50 bucks a month get proactive. i used it and within a week i had cleaner more clear skin. but it didnt stay clear for long. at least for my skin type anyway. i use clean and clear advantage kit. its like 20 bucks at walmart or target. its almost like proactive. but its cheaper and i had results over night and lasting results. its got the same type of steps proactive does: wash, astringant, and then a moisterizer. but they also have an on the spot treatment that works pretty much instantly. but if it runs in the family. you may need to see a skin doc.
