I looked up in the english dictionary and couldn't come up with anything. I think that it might be a Greek or Latin word. I don't know if it even exists in the dictionary. I was meditating the other day and saw this word being written in front of me. Kinda creepy and not sure what it represents?? any ideas???

  1. Alright, nowadays Demiea appears to be an altered spelling of Demies. Both are surnames. However it appears to me that Demiea is a reference to Demetria (more commonly called Demeter) the Classical Greek Goddess of the Harvest. Apparently, there has been quite a bit of modification of the spelling through the ages and both Demia and Demie have been used as references to such. Demie, meanwhile, is also apparently the old English for a fort on a hill, and Dema meant a judge or a ruler. Demi of course means half. In French Demie means half-hour, like 5:30. In Latin Demitto means to let fall or set down (I believe there is a female ending that would make it rather similar to Demiea, however my Latin is very dusty).

    Good luck!
