This is some time ago now but a posh sounding royal hanger-on made a comment at the Diana memorial about it being "very feminine" ?

Quote: it is circular and this is "very feminine" With my cap in hand M’arm I say you have lost me and I hope it was not a coded insult of some sort. Why is “circular” very feminine?

  1. human geometry often uses the circle to represent the female. i.e da vinci's vitruvian man within a circle


  2. As opposed to a square shape which is considered masculine.
