  1. The answerer's above have given you the information you require - but for future reference you need to remember that the "West End" - that is the area generally surrounding most of the theaters is very large - with many many underground stations in it - often there is more than one station within easy walking of a particular event - we just use the station which is most convenient for the direction we are traveling from (least changes etc.).  Also some of the theaters and cinemas in London are outside of the "West End" so do be specific about where you want to get to when asking directions

  2. If you are going to the Phoenix Theatre you are going to see Blood Brothers which is my all time favourite show in London.  Nearest station is Tottenham Court Road, although Leicester Square isn't that far from it either.  Piccadilly Circus is probably best for the Queen's Theatre; you will enjoy Les Miserables too.

  3. I am not sure if you are talking about the Underground or British Rail Trains.  I was under the impression that which train station you arrive at depends on where you are coming from. Charing Cross is the closest train station to the West End -- but trains arrive there from points south.

As far as the Underground is concerned, Tottenham Court Road is the nearest to the Phoenix and Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus closest to the Queens.

  4. for the Phoenix Theatre, the nearest station is Tottenham Court Road on the Central Line, turn out onto the Charing Cross Road, walk past the Astoria, Foyles, the big Borders across the road & the Phoenix Theatre is on the same side of the road as Borders.

You can also get out at Leicester Square on the Piccadilly Line to reach the Phoenix and the Queen's Theatres

This link will show the Underground & train connections nearest to the Queen's Theatre

This link does the same for Phoenix Theatre:

You can use the Transport for London journey planner to work out a walking route to the theatres from the station of your choice if you use the advanced option:
