  1. Order the BluRay copy of "Digital Video Essentials". It has test-patterns and a tutorial that takes you through how to set the brightness/contrast/color/etc.

    Each device is different so once you calibrate the PS3 with this disk, then you have to go to your "digital tv" input and eyeball the settings to match.

    (Many times - each input has separate settings)

    You can hire an ISF Calibrationist to come in and do this for you, but it's a few hundred dollars.

  2. Your remote should have a "menu" button. Does it?

    I have your manual online and will take a look

    Manual - http://www.sharpusa.com/files/tel_man_LC...  (PDF format)

    Try page 26 of this manual for settings.

    Note, this will adjust the settings for your CURRENT INPUT selection. Thus, if you wish to adjust the PS3 settings, select that input for your TV and then go through the video settings that you prefer. My TV has a "Game" setting that you can choose for any input.

    ============= Instructions =============

    Press "menu" then press < or > to select "Picture"

    Press the up OR down arrow key to select your adjustment.

    Press < or > to make the adjustment.

    Press "menu" to exit.

    Let your eye be your guide.
