Using Microsoft Word Help and/or Microsoft Office Online (www.office.microsoft.com), identify two features in Word not covered thus far in the readings.

Explain the features, where the features located, and when you might use them for your personal or professional use.

  1. Tricky to answer unless you tell us what's been covered "thus far in the readings"

Edit: Nicely said Chad - and assuming you are responsible for my thumb up - thank you.

Since the readings "thus far" are limited to getting started my recommendation would be that you research Heading Styles and the concept of Tables of Contents (ToC). As a part time MS Word Trainer I find these represent the biggest revelation to new and casual MS Word users and for students understanding these concepts can save hours when writing a thesis or dissertation.

  2. How in the world would we know what is already covered in the readings and what is not?  We don't have your book.  You tell us two features that you found and we can then tell you how to use them and possibly provide some real world applications where they might be worth while.

For a shot in the dark go to: Insert->Object

Pick something like an excel list.

Objects are something that if not covered you can use quickly.

    Take care,

    Chad

Edit: I love how I got a thumbs down, Geoff too.  I guess the one who gave us a thumbs down (most likely the last poster) obviously has the same book as the original poster.  Objects is an easy thing to use and is extremely helpful.  People on here never cease to amaze me when I get thumbs down.

  3. This is my only suggestion to you regarding your question.

you might want to checkout these two sites..

It might turn to be very useful to you in the long run.
