  1. i dont mean to be dumb, but, have a ****??

  2. Its important that you are relaxed before you go to bed! Milk isn't the only food that contains chemicals to help the brain to relax, so does turkey and peanuts, when I cant sleep I have a turkey and peanut butter sandwich as a bed time snack to help me go to sleep. However, don't eat a full meal before bed as your body will need to stay awake half the night digesting it. You should also avoid caffeine before bed as it keeps you awake. Alcohol may make you sleepy, but you may not sleep as well, not to mention the hangover! Tobacco also before bed will disrupt sleeping patterns. A small amount of cheese before bed can help you to relax.

Daily exercise is important, as it helps you body clock, but avoid vigorous exercise within two hours before bed as you'll find it very unhelpful. However, some light stretching such as yoga and meditation before bed can really help you to relax. Reading a book or listening to the same piece of calming music every night may help two, but choose your material carefully, if you feel you reading a book making you feel uncomfortable then it really won't help!

When you do go to bed and still find it hard to sleep than get up and read some more until your brain becomes tired again. Regularity and routine is important to help you get a good nights sleep, having a bed time routine, like having a bath before bed will help your brain wind down and prepare you for sleep. Try to go bed and get up at the same time every day. Your bedroom is a place for sleeping only! It is not a good idea to use your bed for working in, help your brain relise its a place to work by getting rid of anything work related, you should'nt have any distraction in your bedroom either, this involves TVs or computers in your bedroom. When you are in bed your room should be not too hot, not too cold and as a dark and quite as possible. Make sure your bed is comfortable, your matress should be turned over every few months and replaced every ten years.Sleep in a suitable position, if you sleep on your back, place a pillow underneath your legs, if you sleep on your side place a pillow between your knees, this will take the load off your hips. Sleeping on your front is not recommended, head and neck are twisted in this position which is bound to give you akes and pains. When you get up open the curtains or turn a light on, lightsa helps your body realise its time to get up. Make sure you de-clutter your mind before bed, do this by writing down what you achieved during the day or ticking off your achivements from a 'to do list' a good way to de-clutter your mind is to write down your thoughts in a diary. If you are worrying about something, write it down, stand back and think about what you can realistically do, write a possible solution down and then throw the piece of paper away and with it the asociated attention.

    Good Luck! :)

  3. Try a long hot bath, as warm as you can stand it. Lie there and relax. If you have baby powder, change your sheets and put baby powder on the bed first then your sheets and hopefully you will fall right to sleep. If you have someone to rub your back that helps too.

  4. A jolly good **** might do the trick.

  5. get off your computer

make sure your rooms quiet, no light

close your eyes,  'daydream' and eventually you'll drop off =D

    works for me every night.

  6. get comfy, cuddle a pillow or something, or your partner if your not alone and watch bbc news or david attenborough or something along them lines

  7. relaxation & meditation.If that fails count sheep(no I'm not a kiwi)
