I have in mind an idea of thesis about the diminishing Teacher-student gap in our school..since most of them are already treating our teachers as friends to the point that they can already disrespect them as their teachers! any suggestions...? please....

  1. Instead of focusing on the teachers' descent into the students' territory (intellectually) focus on the ascent of today's teenagers into realms of adulthood not previously seen.  Everyone says kids are grown up too soon and seem smarter than "we were at their age".  I think that teenagers are introduced to real life more now mainly because of the dangers "out there" that they have to be aware of just to survive.  Back in the day (50's and 60's) no one thought anything about the kids being out running all over town all day long.

Unfortunately, when you mix rebellious teenagers with an increased intellect with authority figures (and teachers are authority figures they see every day and get comfortable with) then you will have clashes.

  2. Crisis in the Classroom: Attitudes, Accountability and Acceptance...Don't forget to include the teachers role in letting the student "get to close".  Both sides have flaws that should be taken into account.  The problem is multi-originating:  The home, where lack of respect for authority begins and is not corrected.  The school systems society where the lack of respect is tolerated.  The class room where student/teacher interaction progresses.  The individual where the process of attitude toward authority and peers begins.

  3. This blurring of the lines of authority is everywhere.  I've seen beginning workers talk back to bosses and seasoned workers refer to bosses by their first names or nicknames like "mama."  Someone I can call "mama" won't come down on me like she might others; then she has become an ineffective manager.  This is rampant; it is not just in schools.
