i have seen this show on TV, regarding the parts of the skull.

the show was talking about a girl that has a fusion of the bones of the skull and that it made the brain grows in the opposite direction ( not so sure).

now could you please tell me does the bones in the image have to be separated all life long or they have to be separated until a certain age.

please i need to know more about this? could you please tell me?

the more you tell the better?

at infant stage development of brain occurs. after the brain develops the ossification takes place and fuse them..

but if the ossification takes place 1st and bone fuse early that means the child will develop abnormality in brain..

    (ossification means growin of bone)

some times abnormal ossification also takesplace due to which the bone will fuse but they will be soft in nature... by which the brain sac comes out of the the skull...

  2. Babies are born without their skull bones fused - in fact they overlap slightly.  This allows the skull to pass more easily through the birth canal.  The bones then fuse in the first two years of a child's life (usually earlier).  There are two main areas, called fontanelle's, that are open in a baby's skull.  One at the base of the skull which usually closes first, and one at the top of the head.  This is why it is especially important to protect a baby's head.

I don't know what happened to the person in the show you saw.  Perhaps the bones fused to early?
