Question:

Can anybody help me with restoring a car?

I recently bought a 1964 impala from a friend of mine.

It had been sitting in the elements for a while and is pretty rusty.

Also, it runs fine but sometimes it wont start up and sometimes it will.

Any tips on fixing and restoring it would be much appreciated.

  1. Contact one of the Chevrolet car clubs.  These are the guys who know these cars, know the parts sources, know the way and means of restoring Impala.

  2. tune the carb. and get carb cleaner

  3. Get to know the fine people at Impala Bobs, Hubbards Imapal Parts, Sinclairs and Year One.  They ALL will prove invaluable in your project.

Bobs and Hubbards have new parts, resto parts, and dozens of parts/project cars to get what you need.  And they really know their stuff.
