Can anybody make the junior varsity team/varsity team

Question

im just going to be in high school, im going to play baseball, i know u need to have good grades, but are you also judged on how good you are? i dont need to worry but im just asking

im a freshman in high school, and you have to have a GPA from 3.5 and up.. i have a 3.9 GPA, and im kinda good at batting but i suck at defense, so i play DH... and i made it to varsity, but you really need to go to the batting cages, so you could get used to the speed, (at first i was not excited because i made it to varsity because of the speed, but when i went to the batting cages i got used to it) dont be afraid.. you can do it!

Well there are most likely tryouts. So yeah they'll judge you on how good you are.

When they say good grades, they usually just mean not failing.
