  1. Here's what you can do to customize your page :

    1. Go to your page and click on Change theme at the top

    2. Click on Customize theme. If you wish to have a background photo browse your PC and upload one. It must be a jpge type and not a very big file

    3. Then scroll down and change fonts and colours to your liking. You can always preview and make changes.

    4. When you are done, don't forget to click on Save.

    Hope this helps.

  2. hi

i dont no much about yahoo 360 when u get answere plz tell me more about yahoo360

    bye

  3. I think it is hit and trial and see what comes the best for you. Mostly many have told you the basics of how it works. All the best.

  4. Hi Aanchal!!

Its quite easy. Firstly, at the top center of your page, u see Theme, there u can choose any Y! theme or create a customized one for urself. Click on Custom Theme, there, u have various options of background layouts and color combinations for different things.

Select a background image (upload one pic from your pc) and set the mode Tile (so that the pic will be all over ur background).

Now choose the colors for ur modules which match with the picture.

Note that once u select a color, simply copy the color number and paste it to the other option if u want same color through out.

I cannot explain all of it, but once you try out a couple of times, you will find it very easy. Actually I myself created my 360 page quite recently, but now I have very much got used to its functions!!!

Please mail me if you still have any doubts!

  5. i am also trying to decorate it ...and i feel it is like trial and error...no body can guide us ..

  6. Colors involve working with your background mostly. You can also select words of blog entries (while you are composing them) and use the entry's toolbar to select the text color or highlight buttons to add colors there.

Otherwise, either use the backgrounds created by Yahoo, which you can't adjust in any way OR create a custom theme. If you want to use the pre-made background, click on the "My Page" link next to your "Home" link. Then, at the top under that line of links is the word "Theme: [name of whatever theme you currently have]." Click the "Change Theme" link that's directly under those words. Select one and click the "Apply Theme" button. If you want to customize your theme, see below:

If you've NEVER WORKED with your custom theme before:

After logging into 360, click on the "My Page" link next to your "Home" link. Then, at the top under that line of links is the word "Theme: [name of whatever theme you currently have]." Click the "Change Theme" link that's directly under those words.

On the new page that comes up, there's a paragraph stating "Select a Theme - Change the look of your Yahoo! 360° page by picking a theme. Click "Apply Theme" to make the change." Directly under that click a link called "Customize Your Theme." A new "Customize Your Theme" window will pop up where you can insert .jpg images as well as customize colors.

If you HAVE WORKED with the custom theme window before:

Click the "Edit Custom Theme" link toward the top left of your "My Page."

If you want an image to fill the entire 360 space, it should be at least 1064 pixels wide (or slightly more) by 2100 pixels in height. Upload the image as a single  background image and choose to tile it. If you want many breaks, then use a smaller image or reduce the size of the one that you have in a photo editor. You'll have to play around with it a bit to get it right (lower resolution, cropping, and other size adjustments get it under 360 specifications) by using a photo editor like Microsoft Paint, which is on most Windows computers in the Accessories section.

As far as colors go, scroll down in the popup window, past the upload image part, to get to where you can change colors. I copy and paste color codes from this site - http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.... . It's just faster that way. You can also type the word - transparent - instead of a color code, so that your background shows through. OR you can just click on the little box next to the right of the item, move the color scroll bar up and down, then click around in the color square with your mouse (or click the transparent option).

Here is a directory of wallpaper/background sites: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2006/12/... . You can also search for images via keyword searches on Google at http://images.google.com . Right-click on the image and choose "Save Image As" or something similar to save an image to your hard drive.

    Another site: http://360themes.com

REMEMBER: Your background picture must be JPEG formatted (.jpg, .jpeg, or .jpe as the extension) and under 250KB in file size.

TIP: If you are browsing public 360 pages and you see a theme that you like, click on "Make This Theme Mine" link to overwrite your theme with that one (located just above the counter on the Top Page - left side). This excludes pictures the person may have uploaded (i.e. images in the background).

As for other areas of your 360, it really helps to thoroughly read and try things in the help section:
