Some of us are optimistic, some pessimistic; it's a question of degree. I  believe one's basic nature in this regard is a reaction to events during our upbringing. For example, a whole series of hopes and expectations which are fulfilled. Or not. Most of the responsibility for an optimistic outlook in the child - I think - rests with the parent(s).

Similarly true happiness and smile on face tells ... how near is one to God...

Nearness to God assures eternal happiness...

Hence, Optimistic...
