Can anybody suggest a book about robots that would be appropriate for a boy in kindergarten?

He's really interested in the Transformers, Pokemon, etc., and has lots of stuff pertaining to those brands. But is there stuff out there that's less tied into commercial stuff? A book (either to be read to a young boy, or accessible to somebody with rudimentary reading skills) that talks about how it feels to be a robot, how they work, etc.

The Iron Giant . Based on a cartoon, but there are no longer any toys being sold anywhere. It would be great to read the book then watch the movie. Just an idea.

You could try Google Products... you can search through books and other items. May be you should visit your local book store/libary and see if he likes anything there.
