Can anybody suggest a tall evergreen leafy tree thet could cover the neighbouring wall beyond a common fence?

  1. silver birch, its a very pretty tree that grows fast.


  2. Most of the more attractive trees are deciduous rather than evergreen - but they would do he job 3/4 of the year - Silver birch, Magnolias, or for blossom and berries too - Mountain Ash(Sorbus), Prunus Autopurpea or Crab Apples.  If it must be evergreen, I would suggest a Eucalyptus.

  3. ytr bamboo it will cover the wall beyond the fence so nobody can see in or out.

  4. nothing except Arbor Vitae types come to mind that would grow fast but if you have some patience my 2 favorite in the world evergreen trees that can get big are Alaskan weeping Cypress or a Hinoki Cypress (not the dwarf kind)  both are extremely attractive and creat lots of interest in a scape and can eventually cover a fence.  the time it takes them to grow big enough depends on how big they are when you buy them.
