If you know exactly where you are, you don't know your speed very well.  It's always a trade off.

So, I was driving down the road and looked at my speedometer.  All of a sudden I was completely lost!

These measurements are all relative to something else.  I'm on the Earth, which relative to the Earth is correct, but not very precise.

it seems so all have given foolish answers not everybody well by my point of view the universe is so vast that we cant determine where we are but this is true that we are not leaving the suns gravity we are in orbit some from the months you can indicate where you are if you study and are a perfectionet in geography and astronomy

ok we are in our solar system revolving around sun like other planet. and sun is star like other star in mily way. sun is part of milky way. sun also revolve around milky way's centre like we revolve around sun. right now we are in spiral galxy's handl ike thingy.

(milky way is name of spiral galaxy in which our sun is living.)
