Can anybody tell me how i could "turn the modem off?" i'm using a USB (smart broadband).?

  1. Go to "System" in Control Panel.

    Click on "Hardware".

    Then click on "Device Manager".

    Then "Modems".

    Right Click on your modem, and select disable.

    Or....You can just remove the modem.
