  1. 1 lb of ground beef

1 cup of crushed crackers or breadcrumbs

    1 egg

seasonings (herbs, 1/2 tsp of pepper, salt, etc)

    1/2 cup diced onion (optional)

    1/2 cup mushrooms (optional)

    1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)

smush all the ingredients together (this is the fun part :) )

form into a loaf and place in a baking dish or use a loaf pan

bake at 350 degrees for an hour

let cool for five minutes before slicing

Serves about four, so double the recipe.

If you use a loaf pan you can use ground turkey instead of beef, but the turkey won't hold together well enough to make a free-standing "loaf" of its own.

  2. Use the onion soup mix recipe - its something  like this.

2 or 3 pounds of Ground Sirloin or Ground Chuck (something lean or else your meatloaf will shrink).  Onion Soup mix, 2 beaten eggs, italian bread crumbs, fresh diced onion and/ or green pepper,  Mix together, put in loaf pan and bake.

  3. this recipe is simple and easy to make. the serving size is 8, so it will be perfect for you. it has a ton of flavor, which many meatloaf recipes lack.

    Easy Meatloaf

  4. I have the quaker oatmel recipe for meatloaf on my blog at http://christiscollections.blogspot.com under 'Meat Recipes' and 'Tried and True Recipes' - its the only one I've ever used and everybody loves it!

    Hope this helps!

  5. Onion soup mix?  Are you kidding?

This is the only recipe that you will ever need for meat loaf:

    http://www.quakeroats.com/qfb_recipes/re...

It used to be printed on the Quaker Oatmeal carton.  The best thing about this recipe is that everyone likes it and it works picture-perfect, just like the picture they show you at the Quaker Oats web site, every single time.

For eight people you better make two loaves.  Add yourself a huge pile of mashed potatoes (five pounds -- use Yukon Gold) and provide lots of sauces (Heinz 57, A-1, salsa, and ketchup) for people to smother their meat loaf with.

  6. 2 lbs of ground beef.

    one can of tomato sauce.

    Two eggs

    Oregano

    Salt

    Pepper

Mix together and place in greased loaf pan (I use margarine to grease) - put in the oven at 375 and cook for an hour to 70 minutes. I also like to put some mozarella cheese on top.
