Can anybody tell me what a Wigan Kebab is?

I'm from Wigan.

It's a pie or pastie on a barm or roll, we call them barmcakes.

And yeah sometimes I eat them for breakfast, we have better pie's than the rest of the country!

Yes we are called 'pie eaters', but that comes from 1926 when there were miners strikes. The Wigan men were forced to go back to work due to starvation and 'eat humble pie'

the only pie's i found that equal our are in Australia!

By the way Pukka Pies are horrible! So are Greggs and Hampsons and Cornish Pasties!
