turkish people love english money take that but dont forget to barter with them when your buying and they will want to but you if your blonde haired and blue eyes for camels or goats that is true

turkish lira but most places will take euro and stirling. just take enough with you for a few days and exchange stirling over there as you get a much better rate of exchange.

When I was there most merchants wanted American money over all other currency. They also took euros easily. From what I understand they prefer these over their own currency because compared to the two, Turkish money is worth much less.

just returned from kusadasi 2 weeks ago. they will accept YTL or euro, have a great time its fantastic
