Question:

Can anybody tell me what the back of the new UK 1p coin is supposed to resemble?

Part of it looks like a football trainer with a bit of a tennis court net in show. Aher part of the coin looks like the rear of 2 aircraft. I'm confused??

  1. it represents the portcullis ( like a drawbridge) at arundel castle in south england


  2. It is just being changed from the Portcullis to a part of the royal standard.  It fits with the other coins to make up a sort of representation of the whole thing.  c**p if you ask me.  Why do they have to meddle with these things?
