  1. most people call it  a bridge

  2. could be a rest, a spider or a swanneck

  3. Brass Cross Rest, Low Spider Rest, High Spider Rest, or your hand, whatever you want...within reason that is :-)

  4. all difficult shots in snooker. that thing you rest the cue on is called your hand.

  5. rest,extended rest,spider,extended spider,swan,half butt.

  6. There are many types:

    1) The brass cross end - rest. Used for most shots 6-9ft away

    2) The high 2 legged one with 3 grooves - spider  Used to play a shot where there is an intervening ball behind the cue ball -range abt  6-9 ft

    3) The high 2 legged one with an extended neck  with 1 groove- swan neck. There is another where instead of a single extended groove you have 3 grooves, thats the extended spider. These are used when there are many balls obstructing the cue ball. Range is abt 6-9 ft away. These are really the nastiest stuff to use really.

    4) The 10ft one with an end which looks like a low legged spider- half butt for all shots close to 1 table length away. It comes with it own cue. but most pros these days connect a cue extension to their own cues for such shots.

  7. You can rest on one knee on the table so long as your other foot  stays on the ground!

But I have to tell you to use a spider as well if you prefer ok.

  8. Its called a rest.

  9. horse

  10. it is called a long rest

  11. A Rest

  12. Rest

  13. spider

  14. It's called a rest...

  15. There are a few different thing you put your cue on one is the more common one the rest which is used when you cant reach the cue ball properly, another is the spider it is used when the cue ball is over another ball and you cant hit it properly so the spider helps raise the cue more, another which is called the half but is very rare it has the same use as the rest but a lot longer for when you cant even reach the cue ball with the rest, hope ive helped.

  16. There are 2 that I know of.

There is a basic Rest and then there is the Spider for less conventional, harder access.

  17. It's called a bridge.

  18. rest? spider?

  19. A Spider

  20. The rest is the thing with the cross on the end, the spider is an arch with three notches at the top and the swan is the arch with a long Y shaped neck.

  21. Hard to really understand your question....my guess is that you are talking about a "bridge"....in my younger days this was also called a "granny"!

  22. I've always called it a Bridge. In England it could be called a Rest.

  23. Its called a bridge. Very useful if a ball is tight next to cue ball. Short people use it more than tall.
