Yes, we once had a keyboarder from Wayala in our band. Its a small town somwhat northwest of Adelaide

If you mean Whyalla then it is on the western shore of the Spencer gulf in South Australia.   The nearest major towns are Port Lincoln to the south and Port Augusta to the north.

Note: there is no town called Wayala as spelt in the question in Australia.
