  1. Well I think that if you eat 24 calories a day and burn 400 calories a day, you will lose about 25 pounds in about 16 days. give or take a few days. But No I have never done an extreme diet.

  2. please listen to me bc i dont want u to have the same thing that i experienced. YES i did an extreme diet and it ruined my metablolism. bc of it i now see more doctors than i have fingers for:

    - periods disappeared

    - nutrient deficience

    - gained a heap of weight bc i have a shot metabolism

    - and cant lose it

    - lost a lot of muscle - which burns fat

    - i get too full if i eat like a normal person and have to get my calories  in health store shakes

    - possible colon cancer

    - even a sml amount of carbs makes me bloat and stack on weight

    - cant have children, lost my fertility

    - ALL my hormones are low

    - subsequent depression

  3. Well ok, if your set on doing that then I'll tell you the truth. You'll lose weight very fast, maybe more than you want to if your already normal. Thats basically how I ate at first just trying to go on a diet but then I didn't realized and before I know it I was forced to go into the hospital because I was anerexic. I went from 89 pounds to a low and deadly 55 pounds and just the course of a month and I was still intaking more calories than what you plan to do.(just telling you the risks). You will probably lose depending on how your body reacts to it and your metabolism 20-40 pounds in a week (The more you weigh the faster you lose weight). But if your only planning to eat celery and excersise you'll throw up ALOT. I'm not saying on purpose but thats how your body reacts because you'll get sick because it will try to tell you its taking in to much of something it doesn't need. If you really think this is a good idea then do it, but it will be hard at first because your bodys not use to it. I hope it works out, good luck!=)

  4. To keep the weight you have right now you would probably have to consume about 1,700 calories daily.

If you consume 24 calories and burn 400 through additional activity (exercise) you will have a caloric deficit of 2,076 calories daily.

Considering that 3,500 calories adds up to a pound in the body, Then in one week you will lose about 4.152 pounds.

  5. You'll probably lose 2 lbs per day based on the calories per pound and your exercise. I've never 'done' an extreme diet, but I tried twice. I quit because it was too uncomfortable.

  6. Honey, you're all gung-ho now, but in two days you'll be STARVING!!!  lol

There are 3500 calories to a pound. If your ideal weight is 130 pounds, you'll maintain that weight by eating 130X15=1950 calories a day, assuming you're doing a normal amount of exercise.

So you'd lose about 2 pounds a day. That is really a starvation diet.  Why even eat the celery? Just drink water.  Same thing. :)  Lynn

  7. 24 calories? a day?

Way not healthy..even in celery. Your body needs more than 24 calories a day. That's way to extreme. It's a huge risk..you could hurt yourself with that more than helping it..

by your description you sound like you don't even need to diet!

If you do want to lose a few pounds do it safely! Don't do crash diets they will only hurt you and could possibly even kill you in the long run.

I know you said not to advise you against it, but I'm sorry.. From one girl to another..  just be safe.. exercise. Take walks, even. You don't have to do anything drastic. Eat what you want just do it in reasonable portions.

To answer your question though, it wouldn't take long at all. Especially after your body shuts down because of lack of energy and no real food source. You don't want to put yourself in the hospital with them force feeding you do you?

  8. im on an extreme diet too, but i eat more around 300. i burn 400 too on the treadmill. you will lose a LOT of weight if you stick to this diet, but other people will notice and you will look anorexic. its much easier to trick an un-suspecting mind!

yep on this diet i lost some weight. its only been 4 days tho but i lost 1 kilo. but when you cheat on an extreme diet, boy do you gain it all back, i think try eating more variety, like egg whites (only 20 cals), carrots (only 25 cals) etc so people dont get suspicious. good luck!

  9. You wont lose weight(well you will, but as soon as you go back to a healthy diet you'll put it all back on and then some). Your best bet is to have a calorie deficit of about 200 calories per day and divide your food intake into six meals to keep your metabolism going. You will find that even without exercise you'll reach a healthy weight and be able to stay there quite easily.

  10. well take it from me, i did that (well coffee, 50 calories) and i got no wheres! i didnt lose anything, i just felt like c**p. and you end up binging after a few days...

you wont be able to burn lots of excersize calories cause youll feel too sick to move.

if you want to lose, you want to excersize more, so eat more so you have energy too.

im not saying do it or dont, im just saying what happened to me :)

oh and haha for the record, this isnt gonna last long. you last about three days and you cave. so dont plan this huge thing and think youll lose a lot, cause youll set yourself up for dissapointment.
